WHAT IS CLIGEL A?
CLIGEL A contains an active ingredient called Adapalene and Clindamycin
It is used for skin purpose only
WHAT CLIGEL A IS USED FOR?
It is used to treat acne vulgaris in people 12 years of age and older. Acne vulgaris is a condition in which the skin has blackheads, white heads and pimples
It is used to treat mild to moderate acne(spots)
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:

Talk to your doctor before applying CLIGEL A, if you:
Are allergic to CLIGEL A or any of the ingredients of this medicine
Have other skin problems, including cuts or sunburn
Have any other skin conditions
PREGNANCY & BREAST FEEDING
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or planning to have baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
CHILDREN & ADOLESCENTS
CLIGEL A should not be used by children under the age of 12 years
DRIVING & USING MACHINES
CLIGEL A doesn?t have any effect while driving or using machines
INTERACTIONS:
Tell your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements especially if you are using:
Topical medicines that contain sulfur, resorcinol or salicylic acid, alpha hydroxy or glycolic acid
Using or any other topical preparation such as erythromycin metronidazole or aminoglycosides
DIRECTIONS & FOR USE:
Always apply this gel exactly as your doctor has told you
You should use CLIGEL A once a day. Wash as normal, rinse well and pat your skin dry
Apply a small amount of gel in a thin layer to the whole of the area where you usually get the spots
It should be used for a maximum of 12 weeks
You may need to use more than one tube of CLIGEL A during each course of treatment
Try not to pick or squeeze spots as this can make your acne worse and even lead to scarring
Do not use CLIGEL A in or on your mouth, eyes or vagina
It can make your skin sensitive to sun and the light from tanning beds and sunlamps
If you use more CLIGEL A
If you apply too much CLIGEL A just wash your treated skin with plenty of water. There may be a chance of increase in skin irritation, contact your doctor or your local hospital
If you forget to use CLIGEL A
Use it as soon as you remember and then continue to use as your doctor has told you. Do not apply a double dose to make up for a forgotten application
If you stop using CLIGEL A
If you stop applying too soon your infection may come back again or get worse
Do not stop taking CLIGEL A unless your doctor tells you to do so
SIDE EFFECTS OF CLIGEL A:
SERIOUS
Like all medicines, the medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Adapalene:
• Redness or dryness of the skin
• Stinging or burning sensation in the skin
COMMON
Like all medicines, the medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Adapalene:
• Skin peeling
• Sunburn
Clindamycin:
• Dry skin
• Redness of the skin
• Skin burning
• Irritation around eyes
• Worsening of acne
• Itchy skin
UNCOMMON
Like all medicines, the medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Clindamycin:
• Painful skin
• Scaly rash
• Inflammation of the bowel
• Diarrhea with blood and mucus
STORAGE:
Protect from excess heat and light
Keep out of reach of children
Store at room temperature (15-25°C)
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
